At 9 days old, a doctor said that she would not likely survive. At 7 years old, a psychologist said that her IQ was too low for her to finish Grade School. But her parents refused to believe them and did everything to make sure that Brina would be as functional as possible. Brina proved the world wrong, and graduated from a regular High School as the Class Valedictorian.

In , she graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and major in History. Brina is now working as an Assistant Teacher in a regular Grade School. Her journey with Special Olympics started in when she was appointed as Global Youth Ambassador, representing the Asia Pacific region.
